Ever found yourself at a crossroad, faced with a plethora of choices, and had to make a decision that could shape your future? That's precisely the adventure we embarked on when we had to choose the right high school for my exceptional daughter.

Here's the backdrop: We're incredibly blessed to have not one, not two, but seven of South Africa's top ten high schools within a 20km radius of our home sweet home. Talk about options! But how do you make such a pivotal decision?

Do you choose the closest school to home?

The most popular one, perhaps?

Or maybe the one that offers the widest array of subjects and extra mural activities?

So Many Choices....

We initially thought we had it all figured out until my witty daughter, with her penchant for humor, dropped this bombshell: "Mommy, but girls usually don't understand my jokes! Please can I NOT attend an all-girls school?"

So, the quest for the perfect fit began!

My daughter, the academic, chess whiz, and gaming enthusiast, needed a place that resonated with her personality. We decided to roll up our sleeves and embark on a research frenzy, attending open days at various schools, and exploring all available options.

With a clear vision in mind, we pursued a school that aligned with her unique character and interests. Once we had our target locked in, it was time for ACTION!
